14.5 in. Falling Star Tree Top for Artificial Trees with Dual Color Lights, Plug-In

The star fits the tree top nicely, and catches the light around it. The problem is it does not connect to the lights on the tree we bought from NTC. The star came up as an add on to the tree, so I made the mistake of assuming it fit my tree. It does not, so while the star sits atop my tree, it cannot light up.

This tree top light is compatible with the pre-wired trees from National Tree, which do not use a typical electrical plug, so the topper I had for my real trees over the years would not work with the artificial tree I purchased several years ago. An earlier version of this topper was no longer available when I bought my tree but finally this really nice one became available. It's very sparkly when unlit but the tiny lights at the junctures of the stars coordinate with the setting for the lights on the tree, so from solid white, or solid color, or alternating white and color, plus any of the other 8 or so settings available for the tree all work with this addition. It was well protected from damage during shipping (though something of a pain to unwrap!) and the box can be reused for storage after the holidays. I suppose that even more lights would be over the top, but I could live with it!
